
Moving Meditations: Running and Yoga
Running like yoga can be a moving meditation allowing you to process physical and mental blocks, pains, and dilemmas. It is also an activity that works better when breath and movement are coordinated much the same as yoga asks a practitioner to link movement with breath.

Introducing Sunday Morning Zen
Yoga does not have to take an hour (or longer) or only consist of fast paced sequences. Yoga can be done in shorter sessions and with gentler poses. It can be done on your schedule in just a few minutes at a time.

Remember to care for self, too
Self-care and self-love are critical to our overall health. It can be as simple as snuggling up with a favorite book or taking a weekly yoga class; or it can be as elaborate as a golf or spa or ski getaway. The important part is that it is done with some consistency and that the process does not cause unnecessary stress. Because that would defeat the purpose, right?

A deeper look inside
Developing a yoga practice can be a great way to learn how to better react and adapt to these challenges as they arise. Learning to be in the moment and breathe can help in gaining empowerment over injury, surgery, pain, and dysfunction. Gaining insights into how we mentally and physically deal with adversity can significantly impact and improve our functional outcomes.
